How long have you been in the education industry?
How have you noticed your teaching style change over the years? Why do you think this is?
Due to improvements in technology my teaching has a greater focus on inquiry based learning where students are responding in a range of modes and interacting with a range of data sets.
What is the importance to you of good educational resources?
Good education resources that provide multiple ideas for curriculum delivery are so important for student engagement.
What has been your favourite part of writing an education resource?
My favourite part has been sharing my ideas and practice with other like-minded, passionate educators.
What is your favourite part of being a teacher?
My favourite part of being a teacher is the impact I have on a young person’s life, their thinking, perspective, and the ability to instil a lifelong love of learning in the next generation.
What are three things people wouldn’t know about you?
I have an innate ability to find a park in the most difficult situations, I have questionable sense of direction, and I love expressing my creativity through interior design.
What do you like to do when you’re not teaching (or writing)?
I like to spend time with my kids, hike and be active in the outdoors.
