Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

What is an access code?

An access code is the key that is printed on the inside front cover of your textbook, or purchased through a bookseller or through our website. When entered on the appropriate platform, an access code gives you access to your book in digital form, plus ancillary material.

Please note: MyDigital access codes can only be activated once and can’t be shared or transferred.

What is a reactivation code?

A reactivation code can be purchased for selected products through our website or through a bookseller which provide you with an additional access to the digital content. It is particularly helpful if you have purchased a secondhand Matilda Education book and the code in your book has already been redeemed.

What is a Digital Download?

A Digital Download is how our Flexibooks and some Primary and Secondary content is provided. Accessing a Digital Download does not require you to create an account or to log in. Simply follow the instructions that are provided with your code, and you will be able to easily access your product.

Please click here and enter your code. When entering the code please note:

The font can make some letters/numbers look similar! Please try all the variations below if you receive the error message “invalid code”:

  • the number 1 looks like 'l' for 'leg'
  • 'O' for 'Oscar' can be mistaken for the number 0
  • capital 'I' for 'Iceland' can look like a lower case 'l' for 'leg'
  • Do not include the dashes when entering the code.

Press Validate and then Download and the digital download will appear in your downloads folder.

Can I access my content offline?

If your content is hosted on MyDigital then you can download our App in the App Store, which will allow you to access your content offline.

Your MyDigital Library is available in a range of offline reader applications across multiple devices. Once installed, these apps will provide you with access to your digital products even when there’s no available internet connection.

For instructions on downloading the App head to:

How do I reactivate my second hand ebook?

If there is a reactivation code available for your hardcopy book to purchase on our website, the code can then be activated by following the below instructions:

To redeem your code, please go to MyDigital. Please note that this website works best using the Chrome browser and for best results please regularly clear your cache.

Note: You will need your original code.

Please either Login or click "Register" if you do not already have a MyDigital account with Matilda Education.

Important: If you are registering, please ensure that you select your school's name (and correct campus) when creating your account.

Once you've logged in, click "Activate Code"
Click the "Reactivate access code" button.

Follow the instructions and enter the codes.
Tip: cut and paste the reactivation code (ctrl c and ctrl v) to avoid any keying errors (if you have a reactivation code from an email).
Please ensure there is no space before the first letter/number.

When typing in your original code, please note that:

The font can make some letters/numbers look similar! Please try all the variations below if you receive the error message “invalid code”:

  • the number 1 looks like 'l' for 'leg'
  • 'O' for 'Oscar' can be mistaken for the number 0
  • capital 'I' for 'Iceland' can look like a lower case 'l' for 'leg'
  • ensure you keep the dashes in when entering the code.

The product should now appear in your MyDigital library.

If you have any queries regarding this process, please contact Matilda Education Customer Support  by email at customersupport@matildaed.com.au

Please send through:

  • an image of the expired code from inside the textbook itself
  • an image of the reactivation code as noted in the email it was received in
  • the email address you registered your MyDigital account to
  • the name you registered your MyDigital account to.
  • the school name (and campus name, if relevant) that you registered your account to.
Where do I go to access my product?

Matilda Education currently uses the online platform MyDigital. If you have a print book, you will be directed to the correct platform in the instructions on the inside front cover. If you have purchased a code from our website you will also be directed to the correct platform in the instructions that are provided along with the code via email. (Please also check your junk/spam folders for that email.)

If your product requires registration of a MyDigital account: Registration should be made under a personal school email address, not a generic 'library@..." or 'accounts@...' email address. This ensures optimal functioning of the platform, as the digital products are designed for single-user access.

Please note: Macmillan Education Everywhere and OneStop Digital are not platforms that are controlled by Matilda Education and these are platforms that are no longer supported.

Codes that are longer than 9 letters/numbers are codes from Macmillan Education Everywhere or OneStop Digital. Matilda may now have a new product that previously existed digitally on the Macmillan site as a new digital download on the Matilda website for purchase. Please be advised that Matilda cannot provide a free replacement code.

Please visit https://www.matildaeducation.com.au/ or contact your sales representative here.

Homeschooling queries

Registering a MyDigital account: If you are registering a MyDigital account, you can select "Other" from the dropdown menu of school names, in order to create your account. A general personal email address can be used, rather than a personal school email address.

Please note- some of our digital resources include links to ClickView videos. These require that the user is enrolled at a school.
At this stage, ClickView can’t provide access for homeschooling or for individual subscriptions. There are a small number of open-access videos available on the ClickView channel on YouTube, or on their resources page - Resources for Teaching and Training | ClickView.
