Peter Saffin

Peter commenced his career as a secondary teacher specialising in Chemistry and Biology. Peter held teaching and leadership roles in Australia and New Zealand in all sectors, and during this time he started his career as an author. After teaching, Peter moved into educational publishing, where he was initially a science publisher, before moving on to lead teams producing award winning resources and learning solutions for Australia and internationally, across the entire curriculum.

As a skilled author, Peter has continued to contribute to leading science resources throughout his career and has been involved in a variety of curriculum and other advisory panels. Peter was recently CEO of the Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) and in 2024 was made an Honorary Life Member in recognition of his contribution to mathematics education. Peter is currently Chief Operating Officer at the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership, supporting the development of leaders and teachers across all sectors in Victoria.
