The Handwriting Rules! series for Years P–4 has been updated to support the latest version of the Australian Curriculum for Queensland. The handwriting style featured in the series matches letter formations taught in Queensland, but terminology has been aligned to the updated curriculum and grammar terminology and connections have been strengthened. The series also features an enhanced focus on First Nations Australian cultures and histories through the use of words from First Nations Australian languages, and native Australian flora and fauna.

The focus of the series is to engage students with fun handwriting exercises, with the goal of making handwriting automatic in order to free the mind for more creative tasks and to support spelling development. Letter formation is introduced in a logical sequence and Student Book 2 introduces joins, which are practiced further throughout Student Book 3 and Student Book 4.

Returns and Refunds

Refunds and returns are not accepted by Matilda unless the customer has received an unordered item, or an item damaged in transit, or a faulty item, or as otherwise required by law. We aim to provide replacement copies of undelivered or returned items when requested, but Matilda Education is only obligated to refund purchase costs. Please note that Matilda Education will not refund returns postage and packing charges.

Digital access codes once activated, are not able to be refunded.

  • Provide images of the damaged item, or of the cover of an item that was not ordered.
